Sam Hill Tree Care's Andrew Wimmel selected as ANSI Z133 Task Group Chair
Sam Hill Tree Care Production and Safety Manager Andrew Wimmel has been selected as a Task Group Chair for General Safety Requirements of the American National Standards Institute Z133 Safety Standard by the International Society of Arboriculture.
This section focuses on Emergency Procedures and Readiness; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Job Briefing and Worksite Setup; Traffic Control; and Fire Protection.
Wimmel will play an integral role in the evaluation and implementation of revisions to American National Standards Institute Z133 Safety Standard for 2022. This vital industry document contains arboriculture safety requirements for pruning, repairing, maintaining, and removing trees; cutting brush; and for using equipment in such operations. The ANSI Z133 Safety Standard also provides federal, state, and municipal authorities in drafting regulations.
As an ISA Certified Arborist, Andrew brings valuable field experience to this appointment.
